Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)

Across many regions, particularly in marginalized communities, access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services remains limited, and harmful cultural practices persist. In these areas, we are fighting to ensure that every individual, especially women and girls, has the right to accurate information, essential healthcare, and the freedom to make informed choices about their bodies. At Population development initiative, we aim to remove the barriers of stigma, poverty, and lack of education, ensuring access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services for all.

What We Focus On

Menstrual Health & Hygiene (MHH)

For millions of women and girls, menstruation is a barrier to education and opportunity. We provide menstrual health kits, distribute essential hygiene products, and educate communities on menstrual health, ensuring that girls can attend school without interruption.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and FGM Prevention

Gender-based violence and harmful practices like Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) continue to silence and harm many women and girls. We offer support services for survivors, provide safe spaces, and engage communities in education and advocacy to end these practices. We work with local leaders to create lasting change through policy and awareness campaigns.

Teenage Pregnancy Support & Prevention

Teenage pregnancy disproportionately affects girls in vulnerable communities, limiting their potential. Through education, mentorship, and health services, we help prevent early pregnancies and support young mothers to continue their education and live fulfilling lives.

Comprehensive Sexuality Education

By providing inclusive and age-appropriate sexuality education in schools and communities, we equip youth with the knowledge to make healthy decisions and understand their rights. We advocate for policy changes that guarantee access to this education for all.
